The Senior Financial Analyst provides the financial reporting and statements to upper management, ensuring the quality of analysis used in the process is comprehensive. They are responsible for ensuring that the reports follow regulatory compliance.
What You Bring to the Table
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Ensure the finance team meets all financial reporting deadlines.
Provide comprehensive analysis on financial results.
Prepare consolidated financial reporting and analysis for senior management.
Develop and maintain accounting procedures, practices, and principles for accurate and timely financial statements.
Assist in process improvements for variance and financial reporting.
Review and approve ledger entries and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assist with regulatory reporting.
Financial Planning and Management
Ensure the financial integrity of financial plans and forecasts.
Respond to inquiries from the Controller, Director of Finance and other senior managers.
Efficiency and Process Optimization
Implement and monitor efficient procedures in the accounting department.
Train and advise employees on non-routine reporting transactions.
Design and implement features and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department.
Essential Skills and Qualifications to be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Commerce
Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) obtained or in progress
Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial field
Bilingual in French and English
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud (an asset)
Reconciliation and analysis
Analytical thinking and attention to detail
Budgeting, planning, and financial reporting
