Our engineering team, consisting of over 100 individuals, has a long history of providing strucutral engineering services in the central U.S. We have a strong national presence in the structural, M.E.P., energy rating, and inspection services.
General Overview of Position:
We are seeking an intelligent and driven individual responsible for fast-paced scheduling and delivery of engineering work. Engineering Delivery Coordinator utilizes an out-of-the-box workflow management system called Teamwork. Through its use we triage, assign, track, and deliver work orders to our structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and energy modeling teams. The Engineering Delivery Coordinator will work within a cross functional team of 4 to 8 people.
Essential responsibilities/skills
Receive and review new engineering orders from home builders on a daily basis, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency even in a fast-paced environment (up to 50 orders a day).
Analyze architectural blueprints and plans to extract essential information related to engineering requirements, specifications, and materials.
Collaborate with the engineering team to understand technical aspects of the orders and ensure accurate interpretation of the blueprints.
Act as a liaison between home builders and engineering team members, facilitating clear communication, addressing inquiries, and providing updates on order status.
Maintain a comprehensive and organized database of engineering orders, ensuring all relevant details, revisions, and communications are accurately documented.
Prioritize and manage multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and potential roadblocks are identified and resolved.
Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of necessary materials and resources for each order.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall order management workflow.
Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates on order status, challenges, and potential solutions.
Requirements: Education, Experience, and Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or GED
Minimum of three (3) years general office experience
Minimum of two (2) years direct experience in planning and prioritizing daily schedules (or similar work)
Proven experience in data entry
Above-average typing skills (50-60 WPM)
Professional written and verbal communication skills both internal and external
Above-average knowledge of word processing tools, CRMs, and spreadsheets such as MS Office, Word, Excel. Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
General construction knowledge a plus
Experience in residential structural/MEP engineering preferred
Additional Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Self-starter and perform assignments with minimal supervision.
A valid driver’s license without travel time restrictions.
Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and be resourceful.
Team player with positive and energetic attitude
