This role is pivotal in driving revenue and expanding our market presence through prospecting, lead generation, and client engagement. As a Business Development Representative, you will be an integral part of our Business Development team, reporting directly to the VP of Business Development. This is a full-time position based out of our Sacramento, CA office.

JOB DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients and key stakeholders within the municipalities, utilities, and facility markets.

Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including phone calls, emails, and participation in networking events.

Develop and nurture relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and industry partners to understand their needs and pain points.

Demonstrate NEXGEN's value propositions and benefits effectively to prospects, demonstrating how our EAM/CMMS software can address their specific challenges and goals.

Qualify leads and opportunities to ensure alignment with our target market segments and criteria.

Manage and update prospect information and interactions in the CRM system to track progress and facilitate follow-up activities.

Represent NEXGEN at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to expand our presence within target markets.

Assist in the development of sales presentations, proposals, and other collateral as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Previous experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles is a plus but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients and prospects effectively.

Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

Interest in technology and a desire to pursue a career in sales or business development within the software industry.

Compensation: Salary: $70,000/yr - $85,000/yr (depending on qualifications and experience).

Bonuses: Annual bonuses based on performance.

This is a full-time position based out of our Sacramento, CA office and is not remote.
