+ Work environment: The Siratt Women's Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a PRN opportunity for an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN.
+ 9 bed L&D unit and 4 bed OB ED, 3 OR suites unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month
+ Level II NICU
+ Maternal Designation III
+ Wide range of patients and plan of care – nitrous oxide, midwifery, and high-risk patients

**Here’s What You Need**
+ Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
+ RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
+ ACLS – within 90 days of hire
+ NRP – within 90 days of hire
+ NRPA - within 90 days of hire
+ CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
+ 1 Year experience as a Registered Nurse required
+ 1 year of RN experience in L&D strongly preferred
**What You Will Do**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
+ Assesses the patient
+ Plans the care of the patient
+ Intervenes as appropriate
+ Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
+ Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
+ Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
+ Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
