**PRN I**
_Oh baby, We Have Expanded! – Flexible schedule!_
+ **Work location:** Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
+ Mother friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility
+ **Work hours:** PRN Level I: On an as needed basis (7PM-7AM) – Minimum of 1 shift per month, No weekend or holiday requirements During Training – prefer 2 shifts per week
**Neonatal ICU/NICU Department highlights:**
· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
· Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
+ Our team is like a family with a newly expanded Level III Neonatal ICU/NICU unit with 16-beds – utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, vents, & oscillators and working with Feeders/Growers as well
**Here’s What You Need**
· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program **OR** Nursing Diploma required
· BSN is preferred
· One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) **Required**
· One year of Neonatal ICU/NICU Level III RN experience strongly **preferred.**
· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
· NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained 90 days required.
**What You Will Do**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
