IT Director
Experience with PLEX ERP system is required.
Overview:
Responsibility for all business application systems and IT Infrastructure, projects and support requirements in North America.
Scope of work includes staff management, project execution, IT strategy, support and budgeting for the ASNA business unit.
Staff consists of:
1 Infrastructure Manager
2 Senior Business Analyst (business unit level)
3 Business Analysts (Plant level)
1 Desktop Support Analyst
Ensuring local systems are in line with both central IT standards and local business needs.
Managing relationships with local internal business customers and central IT organizations.
The IT Director will be responsible for implementing and managing IT staff and systems, delivering business critical IT solutions and support in a high paced, high demand Automotive manufacturing environment.
In this role, the following are the key areas of responsibility:
• Maximization of uptime in a 24x7 environment
• Project and vendor management
• Plex ERP support and enhancement
• IT Incident response and resolution
• Establishing SOP’s and standards work instructions
• Ultimately responsible for all disaster recover processes and procedures
• Perform IT infrastructure needs analysis and document business requirements
• SOX compliance support for IT systems
• Support continuous improvement for IT (optimize, standardize, simplify).
• Coordinate projects with global business systems and infrastructure support teams.
• Develop early solution designs and provide high level effort estimates for projects.
• Understand the technology and business strategies of the organization.
• Work with Corporate IT teams to support corporate implementation projects
Qualifications
10+ years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment supporting enterprise level systems
5+ years IT management experience leading small to medium sized teams
Must be familiar with ERP, and EDI (Plex Cloud)
Previous experience with Tier 1 automotive supplier
Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects to completion on time and on budget
Familiar with SOX requirements for IT systems
Strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills
Good organizational agility and leadership skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills, able to bridge the gap between IT and the business
Strong attention to detail and follow-up
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Outlook)
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time
Capacity to work on a virtual team environment
Must be a self-starter able to work without direct day to day supervision
Must be able to quickly learn new technologies
PMP certification preferred
Experienced in IT vendor management
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and familiar with current manufacturing concepts.
