We have an immediate opening in our Austin office for a Real Estate Land Use Senior Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a 5-10+ years of experience and a strong background in complex land use issues. Responsibilities:
Handle complex land use matters, including zoning and planning.
Provide legal guidance on land-use entitlements, variances, platting, subdivision, city development contracts, permitting, and land development and building codes.
Research and analyze legal issues related to real estate transactions.
Develop and articulate legal strategies and courses of action.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active Texas bar license
Minimum of ten years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on land use.
Strong understanding of zoning regulations, planning, and land development.
Excellent academic credentials.
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects.
Exceptional judgment and interpersonal skills.
