Overview:
We're looking for a Technology Sourcing/Category Manager. In this role, you will report to the Sourcing and Category Procurement Manager - Team Lead, and join Atlassian's global procurement team consisting of a highly performing, collaborative group of professionals.
As a Manager - Technology Sourcing & Category Management in the procurement team, you will work with multiple stakeholders at all levels across Atlassian to set the sourcing strategy and cost optimization program. Your role involves using data-driven analysis to focus on the total cost of ownership and make recommendations to key stakeholders and leadership that achieve the best value for the company.
The analysis includes cost modeling, quotation analysis, and the identification of industry and category trends.

Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: - $129,200 - $172,200
Zone B: - $116,300 - $155,000
Zone C: - $107,200 - $142,900
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Responsibilities:
Identify, obtain buy-in, and lead transformational strategic sourcing initiatives, following a standard strategic sourcing methodology that maximizes Atlassian's value
Personally lead key initiatives, serving as the primary liaison between Legal, Finance, IT, department business units, project managers and other key business partners in the end-to-end strategic sourcing process including category analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiation
Lead the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs
Establish positive relationships across the business units to ensure active and early participation in supplier related matters
Provide rigorous analysis of spend data and industry dynamics to identify, prioritize, and launch sourcing initiatives
Prepare and present category business cases
Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity
Contribute to implementation, planning, and change management of process improvement initiatives across Atlassian
Mentor other team members and business partners on procurement best practices
Develop relationship management strategies by which suppliers are evaluated, selected and run in accordance with established guidelines and best practices (RFI/RFP, Scorecards, Performance Metrics, escalation/response processes, etc.)
Qualifications:
10+ years of strategic sourcing experience in enterprise software, SaaS, and running indirect spend for multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and delivery of complex contracts, with an emphasis in software related purchases (SaaS, IaaS, and other hosting and cloud based services)
Extraordinary relationship building skills that include experience working with and influencing senior engineering, IT, and business leaders and supplier executives
Expert negotiation skills in both financial and business matters, including commercial terms for strategic contracts
A proven ability to work independently with strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
Project management and cross-functional team leadership
A clear ability to inspire change, manage conflict, bring together disparate points of view, make decisions, gain buy-in, and build consensus to deliver on objectives
Bachelor's degree preferred; supply chain concentration preferred Demonstrated knowledge of procurement policies, processes, and tools.
