Overview:
Our client is looking for a senior level IT project manager with several years’ experience leading large, complex projects involving in a large enterprise healthcare setting. This Senior Project Manager should have a breadth of IT healthcare domain experience having led large, complex IT projects including third-party application implementations, data analytics, data interfaces and integration (e.g. HL7), infrastructure (e.g. servers, middleware, networking), desktop, business continuity, and service desk.
Responsibilities include:
Creating detailed project plans, project scope documents, and maintains issues lists and other related documentation.
Utilizing company standard PMO policies and procedures for project management methodology and defining, testing, and installing the information technology clinical applications and other initiatives based upon the user-defined business requirements and best practices.
Providing an effective liaison between the business departments, the project Committee and the information Services department, as well as external vendors providing IS-related project management services.
Providing mentorship and training to other members of the PMO team and IT analysts.
This person will also:
Direct and manage complex project development from beginning to end. Typically, 'medium' or `large' sized projects working with all levels of leadership will be managed.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders.
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents, as well as track project milestones and deliverables and issues list.
Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Background Qualifications:
Familiarity with healthcare clinical applications development, support planning and ongoing applications management.
A minimum of 7 years of formal Project Management experience with at least 5 years of experience working in IT or with systems.
Minimum of 2 years of experience using the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Skilled in PACS, Epic, HER, HL7, EHR and infrastructure experience.
Infrastructure, Securities, Ney, Services, Desktop.
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
PMP Certification preferred
