Chief Product Officer

SheerID is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Product Officer to lead our Product Management and Engineering organizations. The CPO will define and execute our product strategy, ensuring alignment with our business goals, and driving the end-to-end development and delivery of innovation solutions that deliver value to our customers.

Reporting to the CEO, the CPO will be responsible for developing, implementing, and building a product strategy that meets market demands and drives the company's growth. They will develop a comprehensive, data-driven strategy to create new revenue streams, and deliver results that are measurable, predictable, scalable, and sustainable. They will be capable of creating and articulating a clear and compelling product vision and roadmap that differentiates SheerID in the market and aligns with the company's mission to deliver cutting-edge identity verification solutions to enterprise customers. They will define and deliver against a robust and compelling product roadmap, and work closely with the other functional leads to ensure that the organization is aligned on the product vision and strategy to support the company's objectives.

Role Specific Job Duties:

Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that differentiates SheerID and delivers value to customers we serve, in support of the company's overall mission and business objectives.

Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product development priorities.

Provide strategic direction, leadership and oversight of the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centricity within the product management and engineering functions.

Drive technical excellence and the adoption of best practices in software development, quality assurance, and agile methodologies.

Collaborate closely with the entire GTM team (Marketing, Sales, Partnerships and Customer Experience), Finance and other stakeholders to ensure alignment around product initiatives.

Engage with key customers and stakeholders to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and build strong relationships.

Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and professional growth.

Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for team members.

Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocations.

Identify and implement tools, technologies and processes to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience (10+ years) in product management and engineering leadership roles, preferably within global and localized B2B2C SaaS companies.

Expert communicator with demonstrable executive presence - compelling in the boardroom and at the table with global brands.

Strong track record of successfully bringing innovative software and/or data products to market.

Deep understanding of software development processes, agile methodologies, and best practices in product management.

Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

High EQ, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, including attracting, developing and retaining teams of 40+ team members.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Passion for technology, innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences through significant periods of growth/scale.

Skilled at leveraging data to drive ROI-based decision making; energized by the pursuit of results and outcomes.

Expertise building and supporting a partner ecosystem.

Strength in SaaS Product-led Growth strategy and execution.

Strong embrace of market research, the voice of the customer, customer data and feedback, focus groups, and embedded application monitoring and multivariate testing.

Experience mapping front-end and back-end consumer user journeys and mapping focused on customer engagement, conversion, and retention.

Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and proprietary training data.

Familiarity with PII regulations e.g. CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, COPPA.

Demonstrates a team player mindset - collaborative, accountable, transparent and humble.

Strongly Preferred Experience:

Experience building, launching, and scaling Data as a Service software products.

Experience in omni-channel commerce enablement.

Familiarity with standards, security, and privacy surrounding digital identity credentialing, proofing, identity attribute verification, and attribute management.

Deep knowledge of handling/management of PII with data controller, processor, and sub-processor structure.

Experience with the consumer digital wallet and consumer loyalty app ecosystem.

Experience building, consuming, and supporting partner APIs, data access, and application integration.

Experience integrating with Marketing and/or functional SaaS platforms such as data connectors, CRMs, etc.

Experience in predictive analytics and modeling based on customer/consumer data.

Experience with fraud detection technologies and risk management.

This position may be required to travel.
