Sequin is hiring a senior software engineer to work on Scenik, our web-based 3D collaboration platform. We will be looking for candidates until April 15, 2024.
About the position
You will be a lead engineer and developing new product features across Scenik. (https://scenik.io) This includes front-end, backend & Unreal Engine. We are looking for candidates that are at least familiar with 2 out of 3 of these areas. You will be working with the Product Manager and UI designer to build new features, fix existing bugs, and make general improvements. Stability & reliability of our product is of the highest priority so you will be given time to ensure that it these goals can be met.
The position is a remote job and you can work where you want. To ensure some level of overlap though we are looking for candidates that overlap with at least 4 hours with Eastern Standard Time.
Qualifications (Candidate must possess many of the following but not all)
Experience with front-end web technologies, we use VueJS
Experience with various AWS services such as EC2, EBS, Auto scaling groups, Lambda, AppRunner, & CodeDeploy
Experience building scalable cloud based architectures.
SQL databases such as Postgres
NodeJS. We use this for various backend services.
Web-sockets
WebRTC. Our product pixel streams Unreal Engine from the cloud.
Developer operation workflows with TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar
Other
Proactive problem solver, finds issues or problems in existing systems and is able to come up with solutions.
Technical lead experience who enjoys helping mentor and grow other members of the team but also loves to code
Must enjoy working remotely!
5-10 years of software development experience overall
Stable high speed internet connection
