About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director for Grants & Power Building to lead the development and execution of state-based grantmaking strategies that align with the organization's mission of creating a more equitable and sustainable future. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team that designs and implements grant programs to support community power building, with a focus on diverse and marginalized communities disproportionately affected by climate change. This role involves working closely with grassroots organizations to identify and nurture local partners with a proven track record of advancing policy solutions in the areas of racial, economic, and environmental justice.The ideal candidate for the Director, Grants & Power Building position at the company will have a deep commitment to the values of equity and social justice. They will be tasked with leading a team to develop and execute grantmaking strategies that support community organizing, civic engagement, and policy campaigns, particularly those that reflect the priorities of the most affected communities. The role requires a strategic leader who can coordinate with policy and communications teams to strengthen the impact of the organization's work. Experience in working with diverse communities and a strong understanding of the intersectionality between climate change, racial justice, and economic equity are essential. The Director will also be expected to share the lessons learned from grantee partners to inform and improve the organization's funding strategies.
