We are seeking a dynamic Regulatory & Compliance Specialist with a strong legal background and expertise in gaming and cannabis regulations to join our team. As a key member of our regulatory compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our company's adherence to rapidly evolving industry regulations across different territories.

About the job:

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of and interpret gaming and cannabis regulations at the local, state/provincial, and federal levels, ensuring our company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively.

Training and Education: Provide training and educational programs to internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance matters, ensuring a thorough understanding of obligations and responsibilities.

Monitoring and Reporting: Establish monitoring systems to track compliance activities and prepare regular reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.

Advisory Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams, providing guidance and interpretation on complex regulatory issues and compliance matters.

Industry Analysis: Continuously monitor industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, operations, finance, and risk management, to ensure alignment on compliance initiatives and objectives.

Qualifications :

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the gaming and/or cannabis industry.

Strong understanding of gaming and cannabis regulations at local, state/provincial, and federal levels.

Proven track record of adapting to rapid industry changes and growth plans in a high-growth environment.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks effectively.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Experience in policy development, training, and education on compliance matters.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
