• Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team in the United States. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves managing the payroll team, implementing efficient processes, and working closely with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for the Safran USA payroll function for 24 states including 8000+ employees
Responsibilities
• Payroll Processing:
• Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll processing for all U.S. employees including the processing of our expatriates payroll, garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws..
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursements on a bi-weekly/monthly basis.
• Handle special payrolls, including bonuses, commissions, and severance payments.
• Manages process of adding of newly acquired companies into the ADP system including company payroll tax set-up, pay code development and implementation.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Prepare and submit required payroll tax filings and reports.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Team Management:
• Lead and mentor the payroll team (5-8 employees), providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
• Develop training programs for the payroll team to stay updated on new regulations and technologies.
• Systems and Process Improvement:
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with IT and HR to integrate payroll systems with other business applications.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate employee data and financial reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
• Leads and develops payroll network across the US.
• Financial Management:
• Manage payroll budget and expenses.
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of payroll accounts.

**Job Requirements**
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience in payroll, OR any appropriate combination of education and experience.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is desirable.
Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• Previous experience with a robust payroll system required; ADP Vantage or WorkForce Now systems preferred
• 3+ years of experience with managing direct reports.
• Experience leading payroll for multi-state company preferred; experience with California payroll required
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Solid knowledge of all payroll compliance laws
• Must be able to handle multiple projects, changing priorities and be deadline sensitive.
• Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Strong coaching skills.
• Ability to relate with employees at all levels.
• Intermediate to advance Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word skills.
• Must be able to work independently and have strong problem solving skills.
• Customer Service oriented.
• Ability to use analysis to resolve complex accounting issues.
• Ability to work effectively with senior-level staff.
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance.
