SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Head of the Class Learning Academy’s Director of Operations provides effective and instructional leadership for his/her staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive educational program and overall operations management of the school in accordance with Head of the Class Learning Academy’s procedures and initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing outstanding care and education to children and excellent customer service to families, supervising school staff, managing administrative and financial controls, employee relations, marketing, and overall school planning.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follows all Company Policies and State Guidelines. Assists senior management in managing licensing and compliance requirements

2. Maintains confidentiality as indicated in the policies, procedures, rules, and regulations governing the school

3. Actively participates in Community outreach activities

4. Arrives to Work Punctually, prepared to work

5. Provides leadership support and guidance in maintaining Company Core Values and Basics of Operations as it relates to Safety/Security, Cleanliness/Organization, Curriculum, Hospitality and Maintenance

6. Maintains emphasis on “Children First” during day-to-day personnel management and operational activities of the school

7. Operates school in accordance with Head of the Class Learning Academy’s standards

8. Creates and maintains a positive work and learning environment for staff and children

9. Maintains HR Responsibilities relating to Interviewing and Hiring, Orientation, Employee Training Programs and retention and effectively communicating those items to the District Manager

10. Conducts staff meetings, content for employee reviews, and Teacher One-on-Ones

11. Supports the administration of the financial systems including, but not limited to: maximizing enrollment, weekly billing and rosters, Tuition Express enrollment and transactions, late fees and large balances/collections, CAPS and Private Pay Attendance being accurate in the school software, staying in line with provided payroll budget

12. Creates Budgets, P&Ls, Period Plans, and writes teacher/staff schedules in compliance with Labor Budgets and has these reports sent to the District Manager using the Weekly Director’s Report

13. Follows Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Period Assignments. Files Administrative items in the office properly and scans documents to required parties (HOTC Owner, HOTC District Manager)

14. Communicates with staff in regard to Facilities and Vehicle repair, maintenance, and recordkeeping

15. Manages Quality Rated Systems

16. Manages Class Rosters & Changes/Transitions

17. Supports New Student Readiness Actions

18. Leads marketing efforts for Open House and Regular New Parent Orientation

19. Implements Daily Routines and Responsibilities, Professional Development Registry, CACFP Administration, updating Enrollment/ IES Forms annually, Procare Reports upon request, GA Pre-K Open Enrollment

20. Ensures the development and implementation of the Afterschool Curriculum and all programs for School Age Children

21. Leads the development and management of Summer Camp operations

22. Ensures that all operations in the facility are current, up to date, and ready for review, internal or external audit (Classroom coverage, teacher lesson plans, employee compliance with federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations)

23. Other responsibilities as assigned by the District Manager and/or Owner

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

· Must be able to visually observe and hear children from all areas of the classroom and playground from a distance of at least 70 feet.

· High degree of oral and written communication skills

· Must be able to hear children from a distance of at least 70 feet.

· Must be able to sit on floor and interact with children

· Minimum of five years classroom experience with children birth to five.

· Two years of experience supervising adults in a childcare & education setting.

· Willingness to work as a team player

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree or teaching certificate in related fields, such as Family & Consumer Science, Social Work, Human services, Child, and Family development. Bright from the Start

40-Hour Director’s Training.

Two years of working experience in positions related to family support required.
