Sr. Platform Engineer
RE/MAX is looking to for a highly skilled Sr. Platform Engineer with excellent communication and coordination skills. This role will help deliver SDLC, Cloud Infrastructure, CI/CD Pipelines and other best practices as a service to internal engineering teams.
The Platform Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to educate, improve, design, and implement on existing and new automated delivery pipelines.The Sr. Platform Engineer will also be responsible for assisting with the evaluation and integration of DevOps tooling to ensure seamless integration between development and operations, enabling the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, evaluate and improve CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to create and deploy best practices for our cloud infrastructure and code delivery.
Drive and implement the automation and streamlining of deployment and DevOps processes to ensure efficiency and reliability.
Create standards and best practices to monitor and manage the health and performance of our applications, AWS resources and services.
Provide production support, including the troubleshooting and resolution of deployment issues to ensure smooth and reliable application delivery.
Learn and work with team to create and maintain highly available resources in AWS.
Create standards for maintaining Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform or similar tools.
Integrate third party DevOps tooling into pipelines to ensure industry standard best practices are follow for security, coding quality and testing.
Document processes, procedures, configuration and architecture to maintain an accurate knowledge base.
Support the internal Enterprise Architecture Team as a contributor and subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and CI/CD.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proficient and proven experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines.
Experience as a DevOps Engineer (or similar role) with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Strong understanding of AWS.
Proficient with Terraform and/or infrastructure-as-code
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with .Net, PHP, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
Strong understanding of SDLC best practices.
Strong understanding of DevOps and Agile practices.
DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or AWS Certification or relevant experience.
Experience with Elastic for Observability or equivalent tooling.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Hire Range/Rate:
$101,500 - $132,250
Actual compensation offered to candidate will be finalized at offer and may be above or below the posted range due to skill level, experience, industry specific knowledge, education/certifications, or geographic location.
The offer rate represents one component of the RE/MAX Holdings total compensation package.Employees will also receive a number of benefits as listed below. Other compensation for this position may include bonus eligibility.
