Job Description Job Description We are looking for a National Sales Director for an exciting, better-for-you, sparkling beverage company. The National Sales Director will represent the brand specifically on the Albertsons business and a few other national accounts across the U.S. This position will work closely with the VP of Sales and brokers to execute their national expansion plan successfully. Location: Remote with up to 50% travel
Job Responsibilities:
Work closely with VP of Sales to execute annual plans through the broker partner and ensure delivery of Net Revenue Growth, Distribution, and Market Share objectives.
Responsible for third-party broker and budgetary management, profitable business expansion, merchandising and distribution targets.
Assist with the development of the Albertsons forecast and other respective accounts, working closely with the broker team to manage that plan effectively.
Track and manage trade spends for respective accounts on a quarterly basis.
Identify “gaps” in planning and provide solutions to the VP of Sales to close that gap in a timely manner.
Work closely with all departments across the organization to ensure business strategies are being executed effectively.
Successfully execute planned promotion calendars, provide post-promo analysis, and retail programs upon completion.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
8+ years of leadership experience in sales management within the CPG industry, preferably in beverage.
3 + years of people or team management in the CPG space.
A proven track record of building and accelerating successful business in Albertsons directly or through a Broker Partner.
A strong understanding of a customer's P&L and the levers available to improve financial performance.
Experience managing broad-line and DSD distributor partners.
Strong presentation skills; experience presenting to internal and external customers.
Strong computer and analytical skills; mid-level Excel skills required.
Experience negotiating and executing customer agreements required.
Strong understanding of Spins data
Strong interpersonal skills, with the intuitive ability to work effectively with various personality types.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
