Job Description
Job Summary:
Lead execution efforts of merchandising value strategy by developing and implementing promotional plans to highlight At Home's value proposition to the customer, drive traffic, and increase sales revenue. Provide internal communication of strategies and tactics to improve Merchandising execution. Collaborate with product team and marketing team to ensure timely execution of messages, pricing, and promotions in store.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Partner with Divisional Merchandise Managers to build and communicate product value strategies, big ideas and promotional offers and details to cross-functional partners.
Build & outline promotional calendar to drive outcomes to support At Home's value strategy including templates, execution timelines, and calendars.
Present quarterly promotional strategies to executive leadership to drive traffic, revenue, and margin plans.
Organize and drive execution for promotional price execution across entire merchandising team - oversee promotional price change requests are executed accurately and on time.
Manage & communicate deadlines and drive timely execution for all areas of merchandise strategy planning.
Partner with Merchant leaders (DMM/DOPs) to proactively evaluate sales and business trends to identify and quickly respond to trouble areas and changing priorities for price action.
Lead direct reports to ensure that deliverables are accurate and submitted on time for quick and recurring action for pricing and promotions.
Support Merchandise execution by providing consistent communication of quarterly deliverables and timelines.
Foster teamwork among all Merchant team and partners with buyers on execution of total company strategies and initiatives.
Ensure effective ongoing and cross-departmental communications with leadership, merchandising, marketing, and store operations.
Coach, mentor and provide feedback to support team members and partners in their growth and development.
Identify opportunities for efficiency, growth and excellence and be a leader in developing and implementing solutions.

Qualifications & Competencies:
BA/BS degree in Business or Merchandising preferred
10+ years' experience and/or training in merchandising/buying or marketing
Ability to lead & influence team members while gaining favor and trust from internal & external cross-functional partners
Strong Interpersonal Skills: He/she will possess strong written and verbal communications skills and be equally effective in both formal and informal settings with senior executives, peers, and business partners
Broad and Balanced Expertise: Balancing strategic, analytic, planning, creative, and execution skills, including competitor analysis; market research; segmentation; positioning/value propositions; development/management; product and merchandising strategy; etc.
Collaborative Leader: With a team-oriented style, the ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams and is someone who has strong interpersonal and judgment skills and can create enthusiasm within the team and across the company.
Capacity to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented, and meticulous
Proactive ability to foresee issues and opportunities with solution-oriented problem solving
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing, fast paced work environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
