**Summary:**
You will be crucial to the company’s efforts to comply with new and evolving privacy obligations across the globe. You will drive development and execution of scalable solutions through the Regulatory Readiness process, one of our top company priorities. You will enable legal counsel across the company to provide durable and consistent advice on contested privacy issues.
**Required Skills:**
Associate General Counsel, Privacy Responsibilities:
1. Drive the development and execution of the company’s strategies to address new and evolving global privacy requirements
2. Lead Meta’s strategic response to access & portability rights obligations, including new laws, and regulatory inquiries and litigation
3. Oversee our access & portability rights program, including tooling updates, process improvements, and ad-hoc risk assessments
4. Maintain subject matter expertise in new and evolving areas of global privacy law and regulatory pressures
5. Develop resources and tools that enable counsel across the company to provide durable and consistent advice on contested privacy issues.
6. Drive high-profile and high-impact projects involving privacy analysis with cross-functional stakeholders across Meta’s business, policy, legal, communications, security, and other departments
**Minimum Qualifications:**

7. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
8. 8 + years of experience at a law firm, government, or in-house as a practicing attorney
9. Experience with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially including those relevant for social media, internet and technology companies
10. Experience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations
11. Experience working on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
12. Proven business judgment and client counseling experience
13. Proven problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
14. Experience making decisions in the face of ambiguity and evolving priorities

**Public Compensation:**
$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
