We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our US Service Department. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and providing support for our cutting-edge chemical analysis equipment across the Northeast region of the US and Canada. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform on-site installation, repair, preventative maintenance, and qualification of GERSTEL instrumentation on GC-MS and LC-MS systems.
Diagnose issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and proactive problem-solving skills.
Collaborate with customers, offering exceptional support and fostering customer satisfaction.
Adapt and navigate diverse situations with resourcefulness and adaptability.
Uphold a strong familiarity with Analytical Chemistry techniques.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Gas Chromatography experience required.
Residence inside the continental United States required.
US Citizenship required.
Preferably 1-3 years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer, especially involving analytical instrumentation.
Mass Spectrometry experience preferred.
Liquid Chromatography experience preferred.
Passion for helping customers and delivering exceptional customer support.
Proficiency in Analytical Chemistry principles.
Positive attitude, integrity, and a people-focused approach.
Mechanical aptitude and proactive mindset.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) and stay overnight.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a remote position that will be based in a home office with remote travel to customer sites.
Overnight travel will be required.
