Data Analyst

Position Overview:Optomi, in partnership, is looking for a Data Analyst to join their team! This Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing, interpreting, and managing data related to licensing and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL for database querying and management, as well as substantial experience with licensing processes and regulations. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis and Reporting:Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to support business decisions.Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders.Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to inform licensing strategies.
Licensing and Compliance:Oversee and manage the company's licensing data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.Maintain accurate records of licenses, renewals, and expirations.Assist in the development and implementation of licensing policies and procedures.Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all licensing requirements are met.
Database Management:Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and structures.Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.Perform regular database maintenance, including backups and updates.
Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and finance.Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support business objectives.Communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a licensing or compliance environment.Strong proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and perform data manipulation.Experience with licensing processes and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
