Job Description Job Description Job summary: The Alumni Relations Coordinator/Community Outreach is a full-time, salaried position responsible for developing, managing and implementing a strategic plan for advancing Alumni-Constituency Relationships, Recognition and Resources at Nolan Catholic High School. The Alumni Relations Coordinator/Community Outreach position fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by planning and implementing alumni-constituency programs. The Alumni Relations Coordinator/Community Outreach position has decision making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with school policies. The Alumni Relations Coordinator/Community Outreach position is evaluated by and reports to the Director of Development.
Essential job functions:
Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school
Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
Supports and adheres to the Code of Conduct and policies and procedures of the school and Diocese
Abides by the Confidentiality Policy set forth in the Diocese Employee Handbook
Sets target alumni-constituency advancement goals with Head of School and Director of Development
Creates an annual plan for coordinating alumni-constituency activities, events, promotions and processes to fulfill goals
Tracking all contact with alumni and prospective donors and related development activities in the Raiser’s Edge database on a weekly basis
Work with the Gift Processor to ensure accurate and timely acknowledgment of contributions and production of event follow-up letters, interest letters, thank you notes and special case donor letters.
Attend weekly meetings with the development team
Must be well-versed in the objectives delineated by the four drivers and knows how to communicate those well to the community (stakeholders, faculty, students, staff, alumni, etc.)
Assists Director of Admissions and Enrollment in engaging with, as well as building and maintaining relationships with, the diocesan schools and the wider community
Manages Alumni-Constituency budget
Helps to advance NCHS relationships, recognition and resources with the following specific audiences through the creation of regular and communication and coordination of special events:

Alumni E-News, website, social media
Alumni Hall of Fame
College Alum Packages
Homecoming
Class Reunions
MEB Tourney
Alumni Sporting Events (Soccer, Volleyball)
Alumni Fine Arts Events (Theater Night, Art Show)

Alumni Event Correspondence (sympathy, congrats)
Alumni Appeal – Annual Fund
Senior Students/Senior Parents
Assists with Project Graduation Planning, Coordination, Fundraising
Assists with Senior Show
Assists with Senior Picnic
Assists with Senior Gifts
Assists with Senior Video
Donors
Funding Team Activities (Alumni Donor cultivation)
Viking Torch Society (Planned Giving) Prospects
Fiduciary Team

Minimum qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
Preferred, but none required
Knowledge, abilities, and skills:
Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
Able to serve as a professional ambassador and representative of the school
Able to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
Able to work well with others in the school community
Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Skill in organizing and relating information in an understandable format

Working Conditions:
Required to work some nights and weekends
Required to manage high to moderate levels of stress

Required to lift or carry moderately heavy items to a maximum of 35 lbs
