Executive Finance Job Description Location:Riderwood Village by Erickson Senior LivingSituated on 120 beautiful acres in Silver Spring, Maryland, Riderwood is the largest continuing care retirement community in the United States. We're part of a growing network of communities developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living, a national provider of senior living and health care with campuses in 11 states-and growing. -We are currently looking for a Director of Finance who will serve as the Chief Financial Officer of Riderwood Village, our largest continuing care retirement community located in Silver Spring, Maryland and home to over 2,000 residents. We are part of Erickson Senior Living, one of the largest and fastest growing senior living managers and developers in the nation with communities in 11 different states. -This position became available due to a person transferring to one of our brand new communities.The Director of Finance serves as an executive leader at the community, which is home to nearly 1,000 employees. - As a member of the executive team, you will not only be the financial leader, but you will also play a critical role in driving culture, resident satisfaction, and employee engagement. -As the financial leader, you will review monthly financial statements and related management reporting to effectively highlight critical issues, risks (including business and enterprise risks), trends, and opportunities. Excellence in all we do, making us accountable to our team members and the residents we serve to consistently deliver financial and operational results.How you will impact our mission and growth: Be a part of an executive leadership team that drives culture, resident satisfaction, and employee engagement, at the largest CCRC in the country Establish and maintain comprehensive accounting controls, processes and efficient procedures Review and analysis of all financial reports to support the needs of operations, internal audit, and compliance Assist in identification and resolution of business and enterprise risks Perform special business analysis to highlight business/systems issues and recommend solutions to enhance Community performance. Review the final financial statements for management and external reporting. Approve salary adjustments for all department personnel. Ensure wage guidelines are appropriately followed. Facilitate the process for generating a logical and meaningful business plan and quarterly updates. Review tax return schedules and other matters relating to the tax returns Assist in the continuous development of accounting staff and construct an environment of learning and career enhancement.Compensation:Commensurate with experience starting at $125000.00 / year with a generous bonus planOFFERING A $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS - (this bonus excludes internal applicants of Erickson Senior Living and candidates through an agency)What we offer: - Competitive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, and PTO 401k for all employees 18 and over. CPA/MBA a plus. 7 to 10 years in a related/similar industry with at least the last 5 years in a management/supervisory role. Critical thinking ability required.
