Description: Job Title: Recreation Specialist
Pay- $15.00-$17.60 hourly.
Working Shift 1-Sunday- Thursday-1pm. to 10pm. Friday and Saturday- OFF
Working Shift 2- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday- 1pm. -10pm. Thursday , Friday - Off Saturday- 1pm. -10 pm.
We are currently seeking a Recreation Specialist to join our team. As a Recreation Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and organizing recreational programs for our amazing students. You will work with a team of professionals to create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for our center.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement recreational programs for our students from ages 16-24.
- Plan and organize activities, events and outings.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
- Maintain program equipment and supplies.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as needed.
- Communicate with participants, parents and staff in a professional manner.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or experience in Physical Education or related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of recreational programming and best practices
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check

Requirements: Qualifications:
Minimum: High School Diploma or one-year related experience working with youth.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree. Must obtain and maintain lifeguard certification. A CDL bus driver's license. Experience as a coach, arts & crafts, performing arts.
Knowledge: Must obtain and maintain current CPR/First Aid Certification. Must possess a valid State driver's license. Ability to obtain a CDL within 6 months of DOH. Knowledge of various recreation/avocation activities. Ability to effectively relate to student population. Ability to motivate students. High energy level; enthusiastic.
Compensation details: 15-17.6 Hourly Wage
