The Solutions Engineer is adegreed architectural engineer, lighting specialist, and creative problemsolver who collaborates with clients to understand their challenges and createsolutions. Solutions Engineering works closely with our sales partners and thearchitectural design community to understand their vision and deliver renownedarchitectural lighting solutions around the world using product portfolio ofinterior and exterior products. Strategically placed at the intersection ofarchitectural design, product engineering, sales, marketing, and manufacturing,the Solutions Engineering team is foundational to our strategic objective ofdelivering world class service across the entire customer journey. Areas ofspecialization include applications engineering, installation and siteintegration, product modifications, technical support, commissioning,post-sales, and trouble shooting.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Successful completion of a BS degree in architecturalengineering, lighting, or similar field required.
• No professional experience in lighting or an adjacentconstruction industry is required.
• Candidates with professional training, industry certifications,or advanced degrees are preferred.
• Demonstrates awareness of the lighting industry and its channelsto market.
• Experienced with lighting design software suites – Agi32,Dialux, Visual, or the equivalent.
• Proficient with 2D and 3D modeling software suites – AutoCAD,Revit, Solidworks, or the equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electronics and their application within newconstruction practices.
• Must have the capacity to learn and navigate software programsand business systems quickly.
• Must have strong problem-solving skills and an analyticalapproach to all tasks.
• Possesses a positive, professional attitude, and a willingnessto be part of a team environment.
