Position Overview

This position leads strategy, planning and execution of Brightcove’s internal and external communications. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer this role will work closely with product marketing, head of strategy and the Chief Product officer to create differentiating messaging that drives company awareness and thought leadership. This role will lead public relations, analyst relations and internal communications functions to ensure these messages are executed creatively and consistently. In addition this role will partner with the CMO to lead CEO and other executive messaging platforms and with the CFO for investor relations activities. The individual will be a skilled communicator with a track record of creating messaging programs that have driven audience buy-in both internally and externally.

This individual will excel at the fundamentals of understanding the audience, the competition and creating thought provoking and creative campaigns. An exceptional writer and verbal communicator this role will have a significant impact on company positioning and board presentation.

Job Responsibilities

Develop thought leadership messaging framework

Develop and implement strategic endpoint analyst relations plans in alignment with company portfolio and growth objectives.

Drive analyst awareness of Brightcove and significantly expand analyst understanding and support of our differentiation and value propositions.

Collaborate with Marketing, Product Marketing, executives, and other cross functional teams to build and execute strategic plans.

Lead the public relations agencies globally - set metrics for success and ensure the brand awareness grows and ROI on PR spend

Assist the executive team with board level and investor presentations

Assist the CFO with quarterly earnings calls and investor relations presentations and messaging

Create a messaging platform and communication plan for senior level executives including the CEO

Work with the CPO and the CMO to create internal communications plan including the ownership of town hall meetings and all hands calls

Lead the team of Communication professionals, currently 2-4 people

Bring deep experience and a successful track record of participation in major analyst research as well as key business press and conferences

Provide feedback on content and messages. Prepare spokespeople for engagements.

Manage reporting, results analysis and distribution of all key communications metrics to bring key insights and efficiency to the organization.

Advise senior leaders and internal teams competitive messaging and industry trends. Collaborate across marketing, product teams, senior executives, and sales

Qualifications/Experience

4 years in senior communications leadership role

A team player with a positive attitude and a collaborative work style

Trusted relationships with analysts and influencers

Knowledge of trends in communications and analyst relations

Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail

Experience working directly with executives, product management and product marketing functions

Proven and successful in balancing strategic thinking with tactical, detailed execution.

Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box to solve problems and secure opportunities

Ability to develop metrics, build executive summaries and communicate business and technology insights

Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision

Strong project management and time management skills

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communications preferred.

Experience in communications in the media sector and/or to the marketing person a key advantage
