JOB SUMMARY

The Patient Access Analyst role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient and effective patient access processes within our healthcare organization. We have recently undergone changes in leadership and are seeking individuals with the right expertise to bolster our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cancer center scheduling, expertise in referrals and registration, and proficiency in infusion scheduling. This role will involve collaborating with the Clinical Applications leadership team to continue building out service lines and ensuring that patient access processes meet the needs of our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient Access Process Improvement: Analyze current patient access processes and identify areas for improvement, particularly in cancer center scheduling, referrals, registration, and infusion scheduling. Implement enhancements to streamline workflows and enhance the patient experience.

System Support and Optimization: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for patient access systems, including Cadence and Prelude. Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot issues, implement system changes, and optimize system performance.

Financial Clearance: Ensure accurate financial clearance processes are in place for patients, including verifying insurance coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations, and addressing financial barriers to care.

Referral Management: Manage patient referrals and authorizations, ensuring timely processing and coordination of care between different departments and external providers.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for staff members on patient access processes, system usage, and best practices. Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure staff proficiency and compliance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in patient access roles, with expertise in Cadence, Prelude, financial clearance, referrals, and authorizations.

Strong understanding of outpatient surgery/procedure workflows and scheduling processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Certifications:

Cadence Certification (Required)

Type of Project: This role involves contributing to the ongoing development of service lines under the Clinical Applications leadership team. While there may be limited actual build work, the incumbent will work alongside another team to ensure that patient access processes align with client requirements.

Duration of Engagement: Contract-hire with a target duration of 6 months. Exceptional candidates may be considered for direct hire.

Start Date: Immediate

Location: Hybrid, based on client need. This position may involve both on-site and remote work as required.
