Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced operational leader to oversee daily functions and ensure efficiency, productivity, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction operations management, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the candidate will have experience in the commercial and industrial construction field with an emphasis on Cold Storage.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline processes and maximize efficiency.
Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards.
Manage and optimize resources including personnel, equipment, and materials to meet operational goals. Schedule and allocate resources in an efficient and productive manner to fulfill customer and company objectives profitably.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement measures to improve performance and achieve targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
Conduct regular assessments of operational efficiency and effectiveness, making recommendations for enhancements as needed.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Lead and mentor a team of operations staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the operations team.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate operational performance and initiatives.
Manage a $40M+ P&L, driving financially sound decisions.
Collaborate with Business Development team and directly with potential clients to secure projects.
Have a thorough understanding of construction estimating and an ability to read and analyze blueprints and construction drawings, with the skill to provide value engineering to clients.
Continue to modernize and professionalize operations leveraging technology and best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in operations/construction management or a similar role, with a track record of success in optimizing processes and driving results.
Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
[Optional] Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Operations Professional) are a plus.
Bilingual is a plus, but not required.
