POSITION SUMMARY
The Grants Associate coordinates all stages of the grant cycle. This position works closely across development, finance, and program teams to ensure integrated grant design, implementation, and monitoring. Wild Earth Allies is in an exciting period of growth with projections to grow annual revenue from $6M to $10M by 2026. The Grants Associate reports to the Development Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Grant Administration
Manage grant systems to ensure collaborative and efficient teamwork and alignment with donor requirements.
Prepare and execute grant and partner agreements and amendments; ensure all agreements are up to date, documented, and stored electronically.
Collaborate across teams centrally and in the field on efficient grant inception and tracking of implementation progress.
Liaise with Finance Associate to prepare grant invoices and wire transfers; track and manage funds to the field; monitor expenditures and field financial reports against restricted budgets.
Ensure timely completion of grant reporting requirements, securing necessary inputs in collaboration with finance and program teams.
Proposal & Donor Support
Research and track grant opportunities.
Monitor, populate and assess the funding pipeline and develop plans with the Development Manager to meet annual revenue targets across segments.
Design budgets for restricted grants with finance and program teams; provide guidance in the interpretation of funding regulations and requirements.
Coordinate preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring cross-team collaboration.
Complete grant acknowledgments and update Salesforce with all donor communications.
Technology & Operations
Manage Salesforce as our CRM platform.
Maintain donor and grant records, including proposals, reports, and communications.
Coordinate development tasking and completion of grant deliverables.
Ensure files are organized on Dropbox and contribute to knowledge management efforts.
Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and collaboration across teams.
Duties and team responsibilities may shift to reflect evolution within the organization’s activities and structure.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or similar field.
3+ years of development or grants management experience. ·
Excellent understanding of and proven experience with Salesforce required.
Strong budget design and financial management skills.
Proficiency with Dropbox, Adobe, and MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to read, understand and negotiate grant/contract clauses.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and cross-cultural skills.
Process- and detail-oriented; confident to take initiative and drive work forward.
Strong team player, confident with technology.
Interest in global biodiversity conservation.
