Responsibilities The Director of Operations will report to the Vice President of Supply Chain and will be responsible for all production activities within the Harvey, IL and Kansas City, KS facilities
The Director will play an integral role in optimizing cost; driving operational excellence, supporting digitalization efforts, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction; promoting a “safety first” mindset with all employees; and instilling our FUCHS Group Core Values and Leadership Principles

Your Responsibilities:

Supporting our operational cultural shift to ownership and accountability at all levels within our organization will be key. This position is located in Harvey, IL and includes up to 25% travel.
Qualifications We Are Looking For:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a closely related field of study; MBA a definite plus.
• 8+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a chemical plant, preferably batch manufacturing.
• 5+ years’ experience with SAP strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to drive change and implement process improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with applicable EPA and OSHA regulations (PSM is a plus).
• Experience with TS/IATF 16949 a plus.
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on data analysis.
• Experience in process automation and digitization a plus
