Facilities Technician
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Facilities Technician. The position will be responsible for basic upkeep and cleaning of the facility. This will be a 2nd shift position - Monday thru Thursday, 2:00pm. to 12:30am with over time as required.
What you will be doing:
+ Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of building and grounds, including carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
+ Basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
+ Provides facilities and maintenance labor and technical support to all areas of the site structure, equipment and grounds.
+ Works with manufacturing and process engineering utilizing blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.
+ Support facility/production daily scheduled and non-scheduled work order related activities.
+ Concrete repair and polishing of manufacturing floors as required
+ Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance.
+ Other duties as instructed by Supervisor.
The skills and experience you need:
+ High school diploma/GED preferred.
+ 2 years of light industrial electrical experience required
+ 2 years of plumbing/sewer experience required
+ Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with all company policies.
+ Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally.
+ Must be able to do physical labor and operate power equipment, such as forklifts and boom lifts.
+ Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
+ Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
+ Must be able to professionally work with outside vendors.
+ Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team.
+ Strong attention to detail and capacity to take direction.
+ Must have their own tools.
+ Ability to routinely lift up 50 pounds.
+ Ability to work independently as well as with a Team.
+ Ability to work overtime as required.
