About the Role
The Company, an omni-channel retailer of rugs, is seeking a VP of Digital Technology to lead the digital business unit, including the eCommerce platform and marketing technology stack. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the strategy, developing tactics, and working with a team to execute plans that drive sales and enhance the customer experience. This role involves overseeing product management, UX/UI, development, and front-end QA, as well as leading mar-tech transformation efforts and mentoring the team. The ideal candidate should have over 10 years of experience in ecommerce, with a strong preference for direct-to-consumer products and international ecommerce experience. They should also have a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including apps, payment platforms, and integrations, as well as experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and solution architecture.The VP of Digital Technology will be at the forefront of the company's growth, supporting the largest business unit of this PE-backed organization. They must possess leadership qualities, a sense of urgency, and the ability to think strategically while prioritizing for impact. The role requires a hands-on approach to support the team and a track record of driving improvement in ecommerce business models and KPIs. Experience in the software development lifecycle, particularly with direct leadership of software engineers, and managing a commercial enterprise ecommerce platform are essential. The candidate should also have experience with CDP, ESP, SMS, and be familiar with product and site taxonomy. A background in UX/UI and experience in defining and executing a digital roadmap for ecommerce are highly valued.
