Our South Hadley Girls Treatment Program provides young women between the ages of 13 - 18 with the educational, life skills, therapeutic, recreational and support services needed to improve their behavior and ultimately return home and into their communities. Residents attend high school classes or GED courses and participate in a curriculum designed to impart new life skills to enable them to make healthier choices when re-entering their communities. Therapeutic services focus on helping each young woman develop strategies to increase coping skills and promote positive decision-making. The Assistant Program Director will work with female adolescents in a staff secure residential facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that a range of activities are planned and delivered daily, including physical activities
Assure that all quality of life standards are maintained including: dietary, hygiene, clothing, building cleanliness, maintenance
Assist in quality assurance in documentation of student logs, supervisor log, time out logs, unannounced visits and camera reviews
Oversee quality assurance regarding medication distribution and documentation in the log book and narcotic book
Implement Trauma Informed Care treatment philosophies
Assist in the management of program budget by maintaining student census
Promote and align the agency's strategic plan into daily programming
Complete daily walk-throughs to check programmatic safety along with maintaining appropriate living standards
Perform verbal and physical de-escalation as needed to ensure safety of employees and students in accordance to agency policies, procedures and DYS defensive and disengagement techniques.
Work closely with the supervisor regarding weekly work schedules and ensure proper staffing ratios are met
Assist in the facilitation of program meetings including: staff meeting, supervisor meeting, team meetings and clinical meetings
Supervise and educate employees with coaching and feedback regarding job performance and professional development and agency policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum of two year residential experience and one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree required.
Valid driver's license is required.
$2,500 Sign-On Incentive
This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
