As a Java Engineer within the Digital Messaging team at Genesys, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling digital communication channels. You'll be responsible for handling conversations across various messaging platforms, ensuring seamless customer experiences. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with team members, product managers, and architects to establish feature requirements and service design.

Design systems with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring resiliency while keeping complexity manageable.

Analyze requirements for completeness and potential impacts on services and users.

Facilitate end-to-end delivery, from design and implementation to deployment, with precise planning.

Thoroughly test your developments through unit, integration, and automated testing.

Demonstrate a meaningful grasp of business requirements and deliver solutions within set timelines.

Actively participate in code reviews, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Maintain effective communication within and outside the team, exchanging ideas, sharing progress, and providing clarity.

Monitor our services for scalability, security vulnerabilities, and unexpected failures.

Contribute to the on-call rotation schedule, ensuring service reliability and prompt incident response.

Must-Have Skills: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline.

Minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience, with a focus on cloud development in the past 2 years.

Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Excellent Java programming skills.

Experience with TypeScript.

Proficient in developing backend REST APIs.

Nice-to-Have Skills: Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, SQS, DynamoDB, and Lambdas.

Understanding of microservice design principles.

Experience with Spring Boot.

Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
