Avangrid Renewables is seeking experienced candidates for a Senior Buyer position to be based in our Boston, Massachusetts office. The Senior Buyer will work with project] managers and engineering staff to procure construction services, engineering services and major equipment required for the construction and operation of Avangrid Renewables wind, solar and biomass generation facilities. This position acts as the main interface with suppliers during RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and is responsible for managing the internal evaluation and approval process prior to contract award. This job requires working with minimal supervision and ability to communicate effectively and influence internal and external parties. Professionalism, integrity, initiative, accountability, and independent judgment is exercised to a high degree.
**MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** **(Scope of work - range of responsibilities):**
* Negotiation of contract terms and conditions for high-value and critical equipment & services.
* Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers.
* Assist with the development and management of domestic and international procurement strategies, policies and procedures.
* Documentation of RFP and contract award process and presenting award
* recommendations to management.
* Review of contract terms and conditions in conjunction with legal counsel
* Adhere to, and monitor compliance with, internal procedures, controls and policies for purchasing activities.
*****Skills and Requirements*****
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, Supply Chain Management or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience as it relates to the job description.
Demonstrated knowledge of "e" enabled supply chain systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP)Knowledge of supply chain methodologies, models, and procedures.
Direct work experience in negotiating contracts for equipment and services.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to communicate concepts, data and recommendations to management.
Excellent organizational and forward-planning abilities in order to pro-actively meet tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Ability to apply analytical skills to evaluate supplier proposals and pricing
Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques, as well as lead problem resolution sessions with internal customers and suppliers.
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in use of computers and software (e.g.
Microsoft Excel and Word).
Ability to travel as required.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
Knowledge of electric power industry.
Direct experience with SAP supply chain systems

The Child Mind Institute is seeking a Development Communications Manager to track impact metrics within the organization to create impact reports, donor stewardship, and cultivation communications to support ongoing fundraising efforts; The Development Communications Manager will liaise with the Child Mind Institutes Marketing and Communications team to ensure coordination and collaboration for all communications pieces created by the Development team. This position will also manage the donor communications calendar and draft the collateral, including monthly fundraising or donor impact reports, special event communication, and year-end appeal messaging.
Reporting to the Vice President of Development, this is a full-time exempt position located in New York headquarter office.

**Responsibilities**:
* Works with all Child Mind Institute program teams to regularly track metrics of success and impact, and translates metrics into a clear narrative for donor communications.
* Creates and maintains regular impact reports that can be shared with the Development and Marketing and Communications teams to support both internal and external facing reporting.
* Liaises with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure donor messaging adheres to brand guidelines and communication policies.
* Supports the organizations digital fundraising efforts with written content.
* Manages the development of regular donor stewardship reports and helps frontline fundraisers efforts to communicate impact with donors.
* Supports donor services and additional development efforts, as needed.

**Qualifications**:
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in the fundraising or communication programs of a non-profit organization.
* Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
* Fast-paced, proactive, and results-oriented with strong follow-through and the ability to both set and meet deadlines.
* Solid computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoi
