About the Role & Team

On any given day at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, we’re reimagining ways to create magical viewing experiences for the world’s most beloved stories while also redefining Disney’s media business for the future. Whether that’s evolving our streaming and digital products in new and immersive ways, powering worldwide advertising and distribution to improve flexibility and efficiency, or delivering Disney’s unmatched entertainment and sports content, every day is a moment to make a difference to partners and to hundreds of millions of people around the world.

A few reasons why we think you’d love working for Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology

Innovation: We develop and execute groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms and enhance how audiences experience sports, entertainment & news.

What You Will Do

As a member of the Experience Delivery – Core Data and Content Distribution Team, you will build and support the APIs, tools, and services that deliver sports data and content to all our products including the ESPN app, ESPN.com, ESPN Studio shows, among many others. We are looking for a passionate, impactful technologist who seeks to bring the best out in themselves and those around them. Someone who can provide a new perspective and innovative insight to our initiatives.

You’ll make a phenomenal addition to our team if you like to do these things:

Contribute to code reviews and cross-team architecture discussions.

Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems involving high trafficked web and mobile application services and APIs.

Work with the team to iteratively improve development practices and processes.

Research and experiment with the latest and greatest technologies to identify and apply them to current and future projects.

You Will...

Be involved in the requirement's gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of systems that support or enhance other applications within our environment.

Collaborate & troubleshoot with the rest of the team in the analysis and resolution of hard engineering problems involving high trafficked web application services and API’s.

Think of new ways to help make our data platform more scalable, resilient, and reliable and then work across our team to put your ideas into action.

Research and learn new technologies.

Required Qualifications & Skills
