About this opportunity:

This position plans, develops, maintains, and directs the day-to-day employment and recruitment operations for Territorial Headquarters and serves as a technical resource and consultant to the Divisional Human Resource Staff.

Key responsibilities:

Establishes practices and standards to ensure the Salvation Army’s recruitment functions are compliant with Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policies and procedures.

Researches, develops, and proposes recruitment and employment strategies as well as recommends improvements to current systems; implements and evaluates the efficiency of approved recruitment methods.

Develop and maintain the electronic recruiting and onboarding process, which includes approved Internet resources, MS Outlook, applicant tracking, background screening, and Form I-9/E-Verify systems.

Manages and coordinates Background Screening and Form I-9/E-Verify processes on behalf of the Southern Territory. Assists with the coordination of Territorial Registry processes as directed by the Territorial Personnel Department.

What we are looking for in you:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, human resources, or a related field, AND

Ten years of progressively responsible experience in recruitment and employment, preferably with supervisory experience, and three years’ experience administering Affirmative Action recruitment procedures. Knowledge of federal background screening requirements. OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Valid State Driver’s License

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to travel throughout the Southern Territory and attend conferences as needed. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts with noise, dust, dirt, and the lik e.
