Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing is skilled in brand communication, SEO, digital, print, advertising, social media, retail, promotion, and community engagement to support a best-in-class marketing department that serves an adult use cannabis dispensary, medical cannabis dispensary, and cannabis cultivation. This individual will spearhead and oversee all marketing and advertising efforts across multiple channels, including but not limited to digital, print, community engagement, and social media.
This position may require hours beyond the standard work day to attend in-store and out-of-store events, or to meet critical deadlines and support initiatives. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Desired Skills or Experience:
Expertise in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and G-Suite
Ability to consolidate information, interpret data and formulate action plans, reports and presentations
Ability to analyze digital advertising performance, maintain reports and communicate opportunities for improvement
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite Software
In depth knowledge of marketing tools
Excellent organization and project management skills
Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage priorities and projects effectively
Proven experience managing a diverse marketing team
Agile multi-tasker with the ability to quickly prioritize and delegate tasks
Experience with project management software such as Wrike
A creative passion for developing high-quality content
A solid understanding of cannabis products and the cannabis industry
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Interviews, hires, and trains staff in the department.
Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as an internal and external ambassador for both brands and ensure brand missions remain at the core of all initiatives
Develop, implement, and maintain a best-in-class and comprehensive marketing strategy for the three businesses
Develop, implement, and analyze organizational and initiative-specific metrics such as customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, initiative specific ROI, etc., on an ongoing basis
Provide regular reporting on marketing metrics to appropriate stakeholders
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across marketing systems and platforms
Maintain ongoing knowledge of rules and regulations to ensure compliance throughout the department
Lead and manage team of marketing professionals to support department and business goals
Collaborate across multiple departments and outside vendors to support a variety of initiatives such as product launches, brand launches, sales, events, etc.
Coordinating in-store events with local businesses and wholesale vendors and out of store events within the community
Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure businesses are remaining competitive
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
At least 10 years of relevant experience
Exemplary communication and presentation skills
Excitement to work in a fast-paced and growing industry
Compliance with state and local cannabis regulations
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to complete a comprehensive background check

Hours and Availability
Monday-Friday. Minimum 40+ hours a week.
Must have regular and on-time attendance, able to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, and holiday shifts, including overtime as needed and approved).

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
