HCEC Triage Associate

RCAP Solutions’ Housing Consumer Education Center (HCEC) is a state-funded program which assists families with limited income to avoid homelessness and improve their situation. The HCEC Triage Staff are directly responsible for carrying out an initial assessment of client needs and providing support to clients as well as the department staff. The Triage Staff are the first point of contact for clients reaching out to both the HCEC and RAFT Departments. In addition, this position is responsible for all aspects of any additional duties and assignments as delegated by the supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet all external and internal clients in a courteous and pleasant manner.
Assess the needs of the client and direct to the appropriate staff member or program.
Provide resources to clients that fit their needs.
Assist in submitting client applications for the RAFT program as an advocate.
Maintain contact with the client and Case Worker during the application process.
Assist HCEC Staff in creating client files and entering their information into Client Management Systems
Experience:
Experience in human services or case management
Excellent written and oral skills
Knowledge and experience with service agencies and resources for low/moderate income and/or homeless individuals and families.
Proficient with Word, Excel, OneDrive, database systems, and online search engines
Knowledge of public housing programs/affordable housing/Equal Housing Opportunities.
