Your Opportunity as the Operations Manager
Oversee Operations and function as a member of site leadership team. They will ensure standardization across the operating departments and lead targeted initiatives to drive improvement across the site. Responsible for leadership development of roles within Operations, including Technical Managers, Area Leaders, Process Engineers, and Team Leaders. This role is responsible for driving efficiency and systemic improvement through ownership of the Autonomous Maintenance pillar. This role is a key supporter of the Leadership and Commitment key element programs within HSE and Quality.
Location: Sahale Snacks - Tukwila, Washington
Report To: Plant Manager
Work Arrangements: 100% on-site In this role you will: Responsible for all production of Sahale Snacks
Develop capability and leadership characteristics of plant leadership team
Responsible for meeting Quality, Safety, Reliability, Delivery, Organization Capability, Sustainability and Cost Targets for plant operations
Ability to work with all business functions to ensure all production needs are met
Coordinate activities to increase Autonomous Maintenance knowledge and improve operations measures
Identify and eliminate losses from the operation; lead in solving issues to cause and implement improvements; utilize critical thinking tools
Coach the management of capital projects to improve Operations measures in the areas of capacity growth, production efficiencies, Quality, and Safety
Champion employee training, including digital, on-the-job, and classroom style
Effectively manage the Operations Budget
Ensure that essential business information is clearly communicated and understood by all Operations Team Members
All other duties as assigned
Salary range = $105K – $165K

What we are looking for: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required; an Engineering or Technical Degree is preferred
Demonstrated experience in building high-performance work cultures and systems
Previous experience managing or supervising both salaried and hourly employees
At least seven years of manufacturing experience
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role: Experience in food manufacturing preferred
Has directed and managed vendors and capital projects
Demonstrated experience in building high-performance work cultures and systems

Knowledge of GMP, PC, OSHA, FDA, and WSDA regulations strongly preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and willingness to learn other programs
Ability to lead, teach, and coach others
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Strong organizational skills
Able to flow to the work and have the agility to reset priorities on short notice
Takes initiative and develops plans and recommendations for business solutions
