You Are :

The Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is a critical, hands-on role and will be responsible for migrating cache instances to the public cloud. Post-migration, this person will also perform proactive monitoring and maintenance.

The Work

+ Creating and managing the ODB environments that serve production, reporting, disaster recovery, training, and non-production needs

+ Installing and maintaining the administrative and monitoring tools necessary for high levels of availability and performance of the client's Epic system

+ Understanding performance metrics, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues

+ Understanding Caché and Epic upgrades and updates to production and non-production environments

+ Configuring and maintaining environment copies according to the client's environment strategy

+ Engaging in capacity planning testing to ensure adequate system resources

+ Writing and maintaining scripts to improve system management tasks

+ Maintaining and testing processes related to business continuity

Basic Qualifications:

+ A minimum of 3 years of experience in Healthcare IT in a Operational Database Administrator role

+ A minimum of 3 years of experience with Caché IRIS

+ Epic Operational Database Administrator Certification

+ High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ Experience with Database Technologies

+ Experience with Database Activity Monitoring

+ Experience with Database Performance Management
