Main Purpose of Job
The Clinical Director is responsible for clinical direction, coordination, planning, management, liaison activities, supervision, prevention, and direct services of the Joseph S. Massie Unit, an adult residential/inpatient unit for treatment of alcohol and drug addiction. The Massie Unit is licensed at the 3.5; 3.7 and 3.7WM Levels of Care.\r\r\r
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates must possess a master's degree from an accredited college or universityin counseling or a relateddiscipline regulated under the Health OccupationsArticle, AnnotatedCode of Marylandand 6 years of health or human services professional experience, including 5 of which must have been in professional work related to treatment and services to persons with alcohol or other substance addiction.\r\r\rQualified candidates must possess an active license as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LCADC) or a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and possess a supervisor reference number (as an Approved Supervisor) from the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists.\r
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred candidates should possess full knowledge of mental health disorders and co-occurring issues.\r
