We are looking for top-notch technology savvy specialists to help us drive our data platform to the next level. In this role, you will bring experience using Kafka and other advanced technology stack elements to harden existing platforms and implement new solutions while working alongside other technology enthusiasts to build a world-class DataOps team.
From preliminary business requirements and solution architectures, conduct feasibility analysis and utilize extensive technical knowledge, creativity, and judgment in exploring possible high-level solution designs. Produces software designs to meet complex requirements within time and cost constraints. Ensures technical documentation reflects changes to application functionality or implementation choices. Plans, conducts, and supervises assignments. Reviews progress and results and communicates with management. Leverages team skills for successful project completion
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Leads moderately complex projects (e.g., short to medium time horizon, applying existing architectures or models) from technical design through completion; deeply familiar with working in a dev ops structure/ environment.
Acts as an on-call SME resource to manage admin failure and messaging events.
Tests, and executes pre-defined ETL processes on standard data sets.
Assists the research, troubleshooting, and resolution of data issues impacting extract delivery.
Understands requirements regarding solutions, ensure data quality and match-back to core systems transaction results.
Performs data validation, unit testing and troubleshooting for data model usability.
Supports data architecture development and optimizes data pipelines to store, integrate and process high-volume data sets.
Performs code reviews for others in project.
Collaborates with Data Scientists to ensure architectural and project specification needs are being met.
Conducts necessary data transformations to populate data into a warehouse table structure that is optimized for reporting.
Isolates and defines core reusable data assets that support the long-term business strategy for development efforts.
Reviews data analysis; and data mapping logic; identifies recurring causes for defects and works proactively to resolve issues; reviews fixes with MDM/ Data Governance teams.
Identifies methods for collecting data and performs data analyses.
Communicates analytical findings, including through reports, briefings, presentations, and data visualization.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
4+ years relevant work experience.
Proficiency in Python
Experience in SQL
Strong Linux Skills
Understanding of event streams / message queues / and batch data pipelines
Understanding of distributed systems and their tradeoffs
Hands-on experience with orchestration and automation tools such as Kubernetes, Docker or Ansible
Understanding of data Modelling and data Concepts like data warehouse, marts etc.
Very good English (verbal and written)
Experience with version control system (GIT, Azure Devops, SVN)

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law. Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on overall company success, thresholds met and other terms and conditions of the Company’s active bonus policy for the respective year.
