Senior Data Engineer
Dallas, TX, United States
How would you take part in bringing our data analysis capacity to the next level? Keepit is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing organization and play a key part in our Revenue Operations team.
We are growing fast as a company, and we are set on using our momentum to bring SaaS cloud-based backup platform to a global audience. As we expand our go-to-market teams in all regions, we need to make sure the setup we rely on to retrieve, analyze, and interpret data on our progress and initiatives is strong and continuously optimized. We believe that data-driven decision-making will be a key component in an efficient go-to-market strategy. Therefore, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our global Revenue Operations team.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will have a central role in taking our data architecture to the next level. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the data architecture we are building up to integrate with Tableau as we transition out of our current data analysis setup. You will thus be owning the database setup that enables the Revenue Operations team to produce data-driven insights for the rest of the organization.
Areas of responsibility as Senior Data Engineer at Keepit will include: Leading the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data architectures to support our business growth and operational needs.
Overseeing the extraction, transformation, and loading processes (ETL Processes), ensuring optimal flow of data into Tableau.
Optimizing data storage and processing capabilities, leveraging your expertise in cloud architecture (Azure, AWS).
Take ownership of data architecture decisions to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our data infrastructure.
Set up data warehouses, cubes, and data marts to facilitate data analysis and reporting in order to build the data infrastructure.
As Senior Data Engineer, you will join our Revenue Operations team and report to our Director of Data, Jonas Lundsgaard. We offer flexible work conditions and take pride in being an equal-opportunity employer, recognizing how a diverse workplace strengthens our product, customer relationships, and work culture.
A fair and transparent recruitment process We know that it is just as important that you choose us as the other way around. We strive to cultivate a culture where you feel you belong – this starts in the recruitment process. Therefore, to be fair and transparent, we want to present the assessment criteria we will use in the hiring process, if you choose to participate.
1. Data architecture expertise: A crucial part of this role is to manage the data architecture, as you will be responsible for it. This requires the ability to make overall design choices that can work efficiently and are scalable enough to act as a foundation we can build on in the future. In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, particularly Azure and AWS, and their application to data infrastructure is also central for this role.
2. Database and SQL mastery: High level of expertise in using SQL is central in this role. Python is another valuable language to know. While you will be responsible for overall design choices, this role still requires hands-on work to set up the datalinks, cubes, and marts.
3. Integrating cloud architecture: Being able to integrate other systems, in addition to having a solid understanding of Tableau objects is key. This implies expert level understanding quote-to-cash, ETL processes and APIs.
4. A structured approach to task management: Operating in a fast-paced environment requires the ability to scope and prioritize tasks. With support from your leader, you will need to prioritize and scope inbound tasks but also watch for the organization's needs. To successfully structure your work, we believe you need solid stakeholder management skills.
5. Entrepreneurial Spirit: Keepit is expanding and on this journey, we are looking for talented and passionate people who are motivated to make an impact on our organization. We are looking for a candidate who possesses the confidence to speak up if there is a better solution to a challenge than the direction we are currently heading. Ideally, that can see the whole picture and adapt to a quickly developing environment as a scale. We strive to protect and nurture our strong work communities and the unique culture.
