About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Business Development for Capture and Growth in Government Contracting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the corporate growth strategy, including organic and inorganic objectives. This role involves managing and motivating the business development team, developing a comprehensive growth strategy, and ensuring the company's continued success through strategic planning, team building, and key partnership development. The VP will also be involved in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with current and new customers, as well as supporting the senior leadership in budgeting for bid and proposal activities.Applicants must have substantial experience in a government contracting environment, with a minimum of 12 years in business development serving federal government customers. Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe, with a preference for experience in WinCenter, GovWin, and BGov. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred. The VP will be expected to travel, and US citizenship is a mandatory requirement. Military experience or experience with HTRO, best value propositions, CRM tools, Shipley Capture, or SCRUM processes is also advantageous.
