The Data Management Consultant will apply their deep technical skills to create data products, develop solutions, and build world-class analytics capabilities for our clients. Responsibilities: Facilitate discussions to understand client needs to provide advisory/consulting on data management and governance best practices and translate to technical requirements for solution design and implementation

Design, build, and scale data pipelines across a variety of source systems and streams, distributed/elastic environments, and downstream applications

Develop, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures and tools

Partner with data scientists/analysts and cross-functional teams to lead the discovery, collection, cleansing, and refinement of the data needed for analysis and modeling

Operate in a cloud environment and assess environment specifications and requirements for big data

Guide/perform data engineering to enable data science and machine learning programs and teams

Implement the appropriate design patterns while optimizing performance, cost, security, and scale and end user experience

Work with data subject matter experts and business users to effectively understand and model their domain of knowledge into data solutions

Support a variety of business intelligence projects using AI-based solutions

Analyze, process, and extract valuable insights from complex datasets.

Perform complex querying of data using SQL, Python, R, or other languages.

Develop reporting and data visualizations

Work with internal and external teams to contextualize data science work into larger project context

Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, economics, data science, computer science, or related field

4+ years of experience designing and planning data , machine learning or advanced analytics projects to meet business requirements

Proven experience working directly with clients, providing briefings, facilitating meetings, and presenting work product

Strong coding skills in general purpose languages like Scala or Python, and familiarity with software engineering principles around testing, code reviews and deployment

Experience with distributed data processing systems and proficiency in SQL

Experience owning and managing a full pipeline within a large project, including interfacing with business stakeholders, architects and senior leadership to effectively communicate status and concerns.

Experience designing and working with relational databases

Experience designing and building distributed systems for scalability

Understanding of Agile development methodologies

Experience applying machine learning methods, and statistical analysis to business use cases

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar for data analysis and modeling

Experience and familiarity with data modeling, data silo integration, and database architecture projects

Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Experience designing and working with graph databases and SPARQL

Experience setting up and working with data catalog

Experience designing ontologies, and working with ontology management tools (Smartlogic Semaphore, PoolParty, Synaptica, Mondeca, etc.)
