Job Summary:
The IT Support Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving Tier 1 issues related to hardware/software for end users. In addition, the IT Support Technician will complete Tier 1 system administration functions related to new users and deployment of new equipment within the service level agreement while delivering excellent customer services to internal and external business partners. Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

What you will be doing: Manage IT helpdesk queues and route requests as appropriate.
Maintain proper maintenance levels and security patch levels as directed by Director of IT.
Manage and maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware and software in collaboration with Senior IT Support Technician and Director of IT.
Help define standards for setting up end users (technology, workstations, OS, software versioning) and document standards and processes.
Manage and update software licensing agreements.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Knowledge of organizations software systems.
Organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to write computer programs for various purposes.
Ability to analyze and address needs of users.
Thorough understanding of computer engineering principles and procedures.
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
High School diploma required.
Higher education in IT field or related field preferred.
3 years of IT technical support or IT Help Desk experience preferred.
2 years of experience configuring and debugging issues with: Hardware and software for desktops (including laptops) configured for LAN environments
Network applications (such as Web browsers, VPN clients, and anti-virus software)
Computer peripheral devices such as printers and copiers
Radio Frequency (RF) scanners and AS400 or IBM i experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
