The Opportunity
Collaborate with the global engineering team to oversee the successful implementation of Solidworks PDM system.
Manage design tasks to support the workload and ensure timely project execution.
Supervise a team of 1-10 draftsmen/design engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
Lead the transition from Creo Parametric to Solidworks in the North American operations.
Document design process procedures to ensure consistency and standardization in design techniques and outputs.
Train and mentor the team in "Best in Class" design and Data Management procedures.
Maintain compliance with AS9100, TS16949, ISO9001, and ITAR requirements and restrictions.
Collaborate with customer and manufacturing teams to promptly resolve design and drawing issues.
Foster a culture of Engineering Excellence by implementing lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Skills and Experience:
In depth knowledge of Solidworks/Solidworks PDM or equivilent.
Experience with ITAR/AS9100/TS16949 working environments, requirements and restrictions.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a diverse design team.
Bachelors or equivalent in Engineering.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate across global teams, customers, and manufacturing units.
