About the Job
We are seeking a Buyer/Planner who will support the service material demands for both internal and global third-party product service operations.
Bose designs and manufactures a wide variety of audio products from headphones to speakers to soundbars and these products provide customers with tremendous audio both at home and on the go. Bose is committed to ensuring these products continue to perform at a high level for the lifespan of the product and to accomplish this service materials are required.
Whether it be a product repair, replacing a product accessory or supporting materials for refurbishment, this role is crucial to the planning and buying of these service materials. The goal is to keep customers enjoying their product and to accomplish this service operations both internally and externally must run seamlessly.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels* Responsible for obtaining materials, components, and equipment* Gathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awards* Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle* Evaluates vendor reliability, develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate* Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value* Develops specifications for new contract orders
About You
* 1-3 years of related work experience (entry-level welcomed)* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with an attention to details* Proficiency with SAP, Windchill and Microsoft Excel* BS/BA degree in Business or Materials Management or Supply Chain or related discipline* Needs to be based in the Framingham, MA office with potential of a hybrid work schedule
