JustinBradley's client is a growing investment firm based in Baltimore, MD. The Accounting team is looking to add a Senior Accountant to be part of continuing to build a high performing finance and accounting department. Working closely with the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be actively hands-on in the fund accounting, day-to-day financial activities and financial reporting of the firm.
A successful candidate will leverage their strong foundation in accounting and knowledge of financial services to work in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. The Senior Accountant will work in the Baltimore based office 4-5 days a week.
Highlighted Responsibilities include:
Assist in preparation of financial statements and reports for funds and co-investments
Review and prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages
Partner with Fund Administrator in preparation of capital call and distribution notices
Prepare regulatory filings with SEC and other agencies
Support compliance with GAAP, SEC and other regulatory guidelines
Assist with quarterly and annual valuation process and preparing supporting documentation
Key Experiences required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CPA preferred
Prior experience in public accounting and/or private equity
Proactive, highly communicative, and passionate about accounting
